You Are What You Eat: Antibiotic Resistance From Chickens To Your Table

 

The Northwest Association for Biomedical Research will hold a Community Conversation with the theme "You Are What You Eat: Antibiotic Resistance From Chickens To Your Table". The event will take place on September 1, 2015 at 5:45-7:30 pm at Kakáo Chocolate + Coffee, 415 Westlake Ave. N, Seattle, WA. Co-facilitated by Dr. Paul Pottinger, MD and COHR's Dr. Heather Fowler, VMD, both of the Univerisity of Washington. The discussion will explore the connection between chickens and human health, including science facts about antibiotic resistance. Discussions will include the economic and health impacts of the use on antibiotics in large scale chicken farming.
