(NIOSH/CDC, 1995-1998) This project sought to expand and validate an icon-based occupational history questionnaire for use with Hispanic migrant and seasonal farm workers. The questionnaire was specially designed to obtain lifetime work histories from illiterate or semiliterate subject for use in long-term exposure studies and has been well-received by both interviewers and subjects. It was adapted for use in leukemia/brain cancer studies in Costa Rica and is available for use to other researchers.
