Dr. Michael Kane, Gates Grand Challenge Round 11 recipient and data scientist at the Yale Center for Analytical Sciences will be presenting a talk on "The Big Data Analytics Landscape with Applications in Augmented Knowledge Discovery" on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 10:00 - 11:30 am at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Conference Center in Seattle, WA. This presentation will provide an overview of the challenges faced by data scientists and ideas of innovative approaches to solve them. Dr. Kane will discuss his Grand Challenges project of creating new data interfaces to assist scientific researchers across disciplines.
