Academic training

The Center for One Health Research has a number of ways in which we work with matriculating students at the University of Washington.

  • With funding from the Northwest Center for Occupational Safety and Health, COHR offers a limited number of scholarships for the Occupational Health at the Human-Animal Interface (OHHAI) training program.

  • As part of the DEOHS One Health MPH program, students are required to complete the UW MPH Practicum, giving students real-world experience in a career in public health. Watch a video about the MPH practicum symposium.

  • Any matriculating graduate student at the University of Washington can apply to enter the Graduate Certificate in One Health program, a 15-credit program that is intended to enhance the education of matriculating UW graduate students and professional students beyond their regular course of study.

  • Through the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, COHR faculty teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses at the University of Washington.
