Information for PIVOT Study Participants: Pet Owners

 

 

The Center for One Health Research is conducting a pilot study of small animal pet owners to determine their opinions on the policies and practices used in small animal veterinary clinics when providing care to their pets. The study will consist of a one-time 90 minute focus group interview/discussion of small animal practices’ policies and practices and suggested alternatives. The focus groups are limited to pet owners living in or around the Seattle area. Participants will be required to provide their own transportation to the focus group site (TBD).

Interested in participating in this study? To be eligible you must meet all the following criteria:

·         18 years of age or older

·         Currently own at least one cat or dog as a pet

·         Have taken a pet to the veterinarian at least once in the past 12 months

If you are interested we ask you to complete a short screening survey to confirm your eligibility and provide contact information for follow up and focus group scheduling. If you are eligible and selected to participate in the focus group you will be contacted directly by study staff to schedule a focus group appointment. All focus group participants will receive a $25 gift card upon completion of the study.
