Technical assistance can look like a lot of different things. Broadly, our center works to support community-based organizations and Tribes to help build their capacity to address a variety of environmental health issues in their communities and access funding to support that work.
We offer many types of technical assistance. If you have a need that you don’t see listed, feel free to reach out. Even if our center is not the right fit, we will try to connect you with another technical assistance provider who can help.

Small group workshops to facilitate articulating needs and priorities, and developing ideas for community programs and grant proposals.

Help with finding academic partners to collaborate on project proposals.

Strategic planning, action planning, community visioning and prioritization, and data analyses.
Involving Students
Help with finding UW students to work with you and learn from working on your projects.
Grant Writing Assistance
Review and feedback on proposals, and in some cases help with writing proposals.

How do we handle potential conflicts of interest?
Occasionally, professors and researchers at the UW may lead or parter with a group to apply for a funding opportunity. We follow a conflict of interest plan. The plan ensures that we separate out those people who may have conflicts. That way, only UW CEHE team members who do not have any conflicts of interest are providing technical assistance.
