Our Team

The Hans Rosling Center for Population Health on UW campus.

Organization

Our team is organized into four groups, known as “cores.”

  • The Administrative Core focuses on financial management, coordination, communications and more.
  • The Research Core implements health intervention research projects, starting with a study of engagement on climate and health data.
  • The Implementation and Evaluation Core develops a fellowship program to recruit and train interdisciplinary teams that will implement and evaluate climate and health interventions.
  • The Community Engagement Core develops community engagement activities for our fellows, our health interventions and our organization.

We are supported by several advisory boards.

  • The Executive Advisory Board meets annually to review the center’s progress and provide feedback.
  • The Community Advisory Board helps prioritize and guide future the activities of the Community Engagement Core.
  • The Interdisciplinary Faculty Advisory Panel provides mentorship to our fellows.

We partner with the National Association of City and County Health Officials, which helps us recruit city and county health departments to participate in our interventions. Our work is funded by an exploratory research grant from the National Institutes of Health, known as a P20.
