Veterinary Antimicrobial Stewardship Resources

In collaboration with colleagues at the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (WADDL), UW COHR has gathered resources for veterinary antimicrobial stewardship from experts around the world and organized them into an easily searchable format.

Our goal is to enable veterinary clinicians to quickly find decision support tools, guidelines, online training, practice and client resources, and more all in one place. This site is organized into 3 main pages:

  • Click on the Empiric Guidance page below to find resources to support empiric antimicrobial selection for a given species and condition.
  • Click on the Result Interpretation page below to access resources on how to interpret culture and susceptibility testing results.
  • Click on the General Stewardship page below to find general resources on antimicrobial stewardship in veterinary medicine including some client handouts and practice-level tools.
