Abeer earned his Master in Public Health - Epidemiology at the State University of Bangladesh. He led multiple environmental and community health studies during his research tenure at International Health Research Center in Bangladesh (icddr,b). His current research at Oregon State University draws from the Risk Information System for Commercial Fishing Risk Information System for Commercial (RISC) Fishing, Ag and Forestry injury datasets and several national surveillance data sources in the United States to estimate injury risk and risk factors. Through this effort, he is building skills in data analysis and hazard assessment to help inform prevention efforts.
