Ally Clonch is a PhD candidate at the University of Washington’s Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences. In 2019, she earned her Master of Public Health and Master of City Planning from the University North Carolina - Chapel Hill in 2019. While at UW, Ms. Clonch became a researcher with the PNASH Center. Her work with PNASH has included applying mixed methods to assessing the impact of sleep and fatigue on log truck accidents in the Pacific Northwest Region; and, working with logging and forestry industry stakeholders to disseminate research findings to workers for practical application. Ms. Clonch's research centers on the health and safety of vulnerable and underrepresented worker populations. One key area of her research is to assess the exposure of temporary foreign agricultural workers to heat and wildfire smoke. Another area of her research is to evaluate the relationship between gender-based violence and harassment on mental health outcomes among U.S. mariners. |
