Idanis Cruz

Research Coordinator

PNASH Center
During her undergraduate degree, Ms. Cruz became involved with the PNASH center as a recipient of a Mary Gates research internship. As she interned for the PNASH center Ms. Cruz also managed her own research project on the emerging issue of wildfire smoke exposure in vulnerable communities. Her experience as a farmworker and researcher increased her passion for improving the health and well-being of farmworkers around the state. In her current role as the Research Coordinator, Ms. Cruz is able to apply her expertise in multiple projects involving various agricultural industries, including dairy and tree fruit. Ms. Cruz is also involved with the center's outreach and education team in which she supports PNASH's social media presence. In the future, she hopes to earn an MPH degree to continue to serve her farmworker community.
