Jose Carmona

Graduate Research Assistant

Pacific Northwest Agricultural Safety and Health Center, Center for One Health Research

In 2015 Carmona received  BA degree in Public Health at the University of Washington. During his scholastic career his interests and his affiliation with the College Assistant Migrant Program (CAMP) prompted him to apply for an internship with the PNASH Center. As an intern, Carmona gained valuable knowledge of the unique challenges research work presents. He learned the ins and outs of project administration and assisted with field research for our heat-related illness and dairy projects. In 2014 Carmona joined the PNASH team in a permanent position. As a native to the Yakima Valley region of eastern Washington, Carmona plans to use his unique cultural perspective and long-standing relationships to act as a conduit between the PNASH and the communities we serve.
