Vickie Ramirez is a medical anthropologist and Sr. Research Coordinator/Center Manager at the Center for One Health Research at the University of Washington. She participates in local and global research in zoonotic disease transmission and surveillance, including data collection in COVID-19 response and arbovirus research. She coordinates the “Healthy Dairy Worker” study supported by Pacific Northwest Agricultural Safety and Health (PNASH) Center and supports occupational health students in the Northwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety (NCOHS).

Vickie also coordinates and evaluates the “One Health Clinic”, an integrated, human and veterinary healthcare clinic providing joint health care for people experiencing homelessness with animals.  The One Health Clinic is also an interprofessional learning clinic incorporating all healthcare students to create more holistic, trauma-informed clinicians.
