FAST FACTS: Responsible Research Partnerships with Indigenous Communities

A two-sided handout developed in 2013 as part of our Native TEACH Project. The primary audience for this information is indigenous and non-indigenous researchers working with tribal communities, academic institutions, research organizations, and agencies. The Fact Sheet provides an overview of some of the ways in which we can collectively move forward towards ethical and equitable research partnerships between Western scientists and Indigenous communities.

A one-page handout that provides information for a general audience about activities at ports in Seattle and around the U.S. and how they might impact public health. The handout also includes short descriptions of EDGE research related to ports and movement of goods, as well as a list of ways to get involved and be part of the solution to this growing problem.

FAST FACTS: How to Protect Yourself from Wildfire Smoke

A two-sided handout developed in response to community concern during and following the Carlton Complex wildfire in Okanogan County eastern Washington in August, 2014. It is aimed for a public audience and for people who, because of age or health conditions are more susceptible to the health effects of smoke. Includes a list of strategies to protect yourself from wildfire smoke and re-suspended ash as well as links to more information.
