Gail has her doctorate in Public Health from the University of Texas, School of Public Health. She is a Certified Industrial Hygienist. Currently she has joint appointments as a Visiting Professor with Universidad de La Sabana, Faculty of Nursing, Bogotá, Colombia and as an Occupational Health Instructor for Texas A&M University. She has taught for several OSHA Training Institute Education Centers, including the Pacific Northwest OSHA Education Center here at UW. She has eighteen years of university teaching experience, including professional development seminars. She has teaching expertise in safety & health and global health (undergraduates) as well as infectious disease prevention, industrial hygiene, emergency & environmental management and disaster response for adult audiences seeking professional development training.
Gail has worked with DEOHS’ Continuing Education program to develop a course on One Health approaches in agriculture, as well as infectious disease prevention for first responders.
