Contribute to helping businesses and industries in the Pacific Northwest safely operate by taking a survey on how COVID-19 has impacted your workplace.

About our survey

The Pacific Northwest Workplace Impact Survey is collecting information about how COVID-19 has impacted your workplace and concerns you may have as our region begins a phased re-opening of the economy. We are also interested in immediate workplace concerns you have and how we can offer help as you begin to return to work.

How to participate

We are seeking people in leadership positions in businesses in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska to participate in the survey.

Join the research study by clicking on the "Participate now" link to respond to a short online survey that takes 10-15 minutes to complete.

The survey is currently open through June 15, 2020.

The survey includes questions about your workplace, policies and practices you had in place before and during COVID-19 actions you’ve taken in response to COVID-19 and concerns you may have as you begin to reopen your workplace or continue to operate during COVID-19.

During the survey, we will ask you if you are willing to provide additional details about how your workplace has responded to COVID-19. This part is optional, but if you participate, you will be asked to provide your email address.

Those who provide their contact information will have the opportunity to connect with a Certified Industrial Hygienist to ask questions about workplace health and safety controls or policies. Your participation is completely voluntary. You may discontinue the survey at any time without adverse consequences.

Currently, you can participate in this study in English.

Risks and benefits to participation

There are minimal risks to participating in this survey. You may experience stress or discomfort while recalling your experience with COVID-19.

Your responses to the questions will be kept confidential and data you provide will made anonymous. While we discourage personal disclosure of any identifiable information in your responses, it is possible that the information that you provide may reveal your identity.

We cannot offer any compensation for participation. However, those who are interested can receive consultation from a CIH. There are no other direct benefits to participation. However, findings from this study will be used to inform industry-specific guidance for resuming business activities. Data that has your identify removed may be placed in a data repository for use in future research or to answer alternative research questions. Any data that is shared in such a repository or with other researchers will be anonymous.
