Our Interns

Internships help DEOHS students gain experience and skills in lab, field, healthcare and policy settings, preparing them for a variety of careers in environmental and occupational health. The chance to explore a workplace in industry, academia or government allows interns to build professional networks, improve communication skills and identify whether these workplaces align with their personalities and values.

In fact, many interns go on to pursue a job at the same workplace after graduation—with employers such as Amazon, the UW Department of Environmental Health & Safety and the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries.
