Jamie Vickery, PhD, MA

Jamie Vickery is a Research Social Scientist and the Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) Branch Chief within the Global Systems Laboratory’s Weather Informatics and Decision Support (WIDS) Division and an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the UW Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences. Her background is in sociology, with a focus on qualitative and mixed method study design, risk communication, and decision-making. Her work draws upon applied research and evaluation methods as mechanisms for bridging scholarship and practice to center and address key partner needs.
