About

Bruce Millies teaches occupational safety and health continuing education courses. He is a former lawyer who practiced environmental law, took a break from the law to earn an MS in environmental health from the University of Washington, and then decided to pursue a career in Industrial Hygiene.

He was an assistant professor of industrial hygiene and safety at Empire State College (SUNY). He was also an industrial hygienist for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, where he worked primarily in the development of worker safety and health training programs.

He has taught numerous occupational safety and health classes and workshops for workers and government inspectors in Chile, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Bolivia and Mexico.

His work with DEOHS includes teaching courses on OSHA.
