Dr. Ponce is an Executive Vice President, Nonclinical Development at Shape Therapeutics, a gene therapy company focusing on RNA editing (Seattle, WA). Prior to this position he was Sr.

Bruce Millies teaches occupational safety and health continuing education courses. He is a former lawyer who practiced environmental law, took a break from the law to earn an MS in environmental health from the University of Washington, and then decided to pursue a career in Industrial Hygiene.

Therese Mar received her PhD in 1998 from the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences - Toxicology Program. Her doctoral research was on the toxicokinetics of toluene in men and women under exercising and resting conditions.

Dr. Lorenzana's work focuses on study design, community engagement and development of effective community outcomes relating to toxicant exposures coming from the outdoor environment. Her interests include translating science knowledge and research products for use in environmental health decisions and science policy development. Dr.

Dr. Jia-Hua Lin is a research ergonomist with the SHARP (Safety and Health Assessment of Research for Prevention) program within the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. He currently serves as a scientific editor for the journal Applied Ergonomics. Dr.

Dr. Tom Lewandowski is a toxicologist and chemist working in the Seattle, WA office of Gradient, a science consulting firm. He received his Ph.D. in toxicology from the University of Washington School of Public Health in 2000. He also holds an MPH in environmental health from the University of Michigan. Dr.

Steven G. Gilbert, Ph.D., D.A.B.T., Director and Founder of the Institute of Neurotoxicology and Neurological Disorders (INND), received a Ph.D. in Toxicology in 1986 from the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, and is a Diplomat of American Board of Toxicology.

Dr. Liz Dykstra is the Public Health Entomologist for the Washington State Department of Health’s Zoonotic Disease Program. After earning her BA in Biology from Luther College, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal, West Africa.

Andrew L. Dannenberg, MD, MPH, is an Affiliate Professor in the Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences and in the Department of Urban Design and Planning at the University of Washington, where he teaches courses on health and built environment and on health impact assessment.

Dr. Patricia Cirone retired from the U.S. Environmental Protection, Region 10 (USEPA) in 2006 where she served as the Chief of the Risk Evaluation Unit for over 20 years. Since retiring Dr. Cirone has been an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington, Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences and a consultant with Ridolfi, Inc.

Won-Seok Choi, PhD is interested in understanding the mechanisms of neuron death induced in Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease by environmental toxicants. He has investigated signaling pathways triggered by various neurotoxins to define the link to the neuro-degenerative disorders, and to discover therapeutic targets to treat and/or prevent them.

Stephen Bao is a certified professional ergonomist (CPE in USA and CCPE in Canada), senior ergonomist at the SHARP Program of Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. He is also an affiliated professor at the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health of University of Washington.

Dr. Michael Yost is Professor and Chair of the UW Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences (DEOHS). He is also the Director of the Pacific Northwest Agricultural Safety and Health Center at DEOHS. A member of the DEOHS faculty since 1993, Dr. Yost was named department chair in August 2014. 

Nancy Simcox, MS, is Associate Teaching Professor and the Director of the Continuing Education programs for the UW Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences.

Dr. Edmund Seto is Professor in the UW Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences. He received his PhD in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on the quantification of exposures and risk as they relate to environmental and occupational health.

Dr. Seixas is a certified industrial hygienist with an emphasis on the quantification of exposure for occupational epidemiology. In addition to teaching occupational hygiene courses and maintaining an active research program.

Dr. Kavanagh joined the faculty at the University of Washington in the Departments of Medicine and Environmental Health in 1989, and is currently Emeritus Professor in the UW Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences. Dr.

Dr. Elaine Faustman is a toxicologist and Professor in the UW Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences and Director of the Institute for Risk Analysis and Risk Communication (IRARC).

Dr. Kristie L. Ebi is Professor in the University of Washington Center for Health and the Global Environment. She has been conducting research and practice on the health risks of climate variability and change for nearly 25 years.

Dr. Cohen is Teaching Professor in the Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences, Assistant Chair for Stakeholder Engagement and Director of the Field Research and Consultation Group. He is a certified industrial hygienist and certified safety professional.

Tania Busch Isaksen is Teaching Professor and Undergraduate Program Coordinator for the UW Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences (DEOHS).

Dr. Marissa Baker is an Assistant Professor in the UW Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences (DEOHS). She also serves as Deputy Director of the Northwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety, housed at DEOHS. She is an affiliate faculty in the Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies at UW.

Dr. Thomas Burbacher is Professor Emeritus in the UW Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences (DEOHS). He previously served as the head of the Division of Reproductive and Developmental Sciences and Director of the Infant Primate Research Laboratory at the UW National Primate Research Center.
